There's a Major Difference®

At Fairway Advisors, the mantra “There’s a Major Difference” is more than just a slogan – it’s a testament to an unparalleled track record in the golf course service industry. This difference is exemplified through the following three distinct achievements.

Prestigious Sales of Major Championship Venues:

Jeff Davis, Fairway Advisors’ Managing Director, has played a pivotal role in the sale of illustrious golf clubs that have hosted major championships. These include:

  • Kemper Lakes, the venerable site of the 1985 PGA Championship, which found new ownership in 2001 and was the high priced exclusively listed golf course sale of 2001.
  • Blue Hill Country Club, a historic venue that hosted the PGA Championship in 1956, was successfully sold in 2014.
  • Engineers Country Club, with its rich legacy of hosting the US Amateur in 1920 and the PGA Championship in 1919, was another feather in our cap with its sale in 2016.

These transactions not only underscore our unique niche in the market but also cement our position as the foremost authority in selling major championship golf venues. This achievement of selling three major championship venues is unmatched and unlikely to ever be equaled.

Dominance in the MET Region:

Beyond major championship sites, Fairway Advisors has also distinguished itself in the MET region by selling more member-owned and non-equity private clubs than any other advisor globally. Our portfolio boasts esteemed names such as Shackamaxon Country Club, Elmwood Country Club, Apple Ridge Country Club, Riverview Country Club, Old York Country Club, and Engineers Country Club. These prestigious clubs chose Fairway Advisors for our impeccable execution track record, sterling reputation, and expansive investor reach.

Representation of Clubs with Renowned Architectural Heritage:

Adding to our unique achievements, Fairway Advisors is singular in representing owners of clubs designed by golden age architects like A.W. Tillinghast, Skip Wogan, Herbert Strong, and Devereux Emmet. Our involvement in transactions of such historically significant courses speaks volumes about our expertise and the trust placed in us by owners of these architectural masterpieces.
